    The Deer Magnet grafted American female persimmon! Deer will find these trees and bucks will guard them to protect this special food supply. They love the sweet nutty flavor. The Deer Magnet Persimmon ripens late, and drops its fruit very late in October through December depending on where they are planted; i.e USDA plant zone.

    Grafted female American persimmons will bear fruit in 2-3 years depending on care and climate they receive. Medium sized persimmon, 1.25-1.5" long. Heavy bearer.

     Very cold hardy, With a slow growth rate, all persimmons are easy to grow. Zones 5-9.

    Fertilization:It is not recommended fertilize trees at time of planting or young trees. Excessive fertilizing may cause premature fruit drop. Apply a balanced fertilizer (such as a 10-10-10) in late winter or early spring after the tree is established.

    Pruning: Most persimmon trees require little pruning, especially once they’re bearing fruits. Pruning is usually restricted to controlling the tree’s size or removing dead, diseased, and damaged branches. Prune any suckers that develop
